Dear Patrons,

The Mt. Lebanon Public Library is grateful to its patrons for returning materials and staff is working hard to re-shelve materials and return others to their home libraries when our delivery service resumes. We also thank you for taking advantage of our many virtual programs.

We had hoped to open the building next week, but unfortunately, the library will remain closed until further notice for several reasons, including an uptick in local cases of COVID-19, the need to take more time to modify work spaces and to allow for urgent replacement of the air conditioner. The library will still offer myriad services, including virtual programming, virtual reference, and contact-free pickup of in-house items. Materials may be returned to the library Monday through Friday from 9-7 in the lower vestibule Castle Shannon entrance. Detailed information can be found at the library’s website, www.mtlebanonlibrary.org.

We understand this announcement is disappointing. The municipality is closely monitoring all available information and taking the appropriate steps to ensure the safety of employees, residents and the public. Keep up to date with municipal closings, openings and related announcements by going to www.mtlebanon.org/corona.
