Welcome to the first in a series of posts highlighting the

Love Lebo Learning series, a collaboration with the

Mt. Lebanon Partnership.

The Love Lebo Learning Series:
Every Wednesday the Mt. Lebanon Public Library will send out a newsletter that supports the content of Mt. Lebanon Partnership's Love Lebo Learning Series Videos. Our newsletters will include a link to the series' featured weekly video as well as links to our library's created electronic book lists and means to request book bundles that contain items from the library that will make exploring the weekly theme all the more fun for you and your family.

About this Series:

The Mt. Lebanon Partnership, in keeping with their vision for a community-serving business district, is working with local organizations to develop and share educational offerings that benefit both businesses and the community. With the pandemic limiting in-person options, initially the series will include videos that educate, inform, and entertain.

The Love Lebo Learning Series airs on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership YouTube channel every Sunday at 3PM (between February 14th-April 4th, 2021).

Following the release of that week’s video, they will post a question related to that day’s content on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MtLebanonPartnership). If you answer the question in the comments of the post, you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift certificate to that episode’s business.

This week's Lebo Learning Series featured video: Making Risotto at Home with the Arancini House's Joe Reale
The Arancini House's mission is to educate and feed the world with the wonders of Sicilian food. The Arancini House blog provides a little back story on the naming of Reale's restaurant "Arancini are to Sicily what Primanti's sandwiches are to Pittsburgh. Traditionally a peasant food made with fresh and local ingredients, arancini were designed to be eaten by workers. A hot meal rolled up and ready to eat. More recently, in the 50's and 60's, they were served for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays. They've evolved and defended their spot in the country most known for pizza and pasta. These heavenly treats are a labor of love, taking two full days to prepare according to tradition.
The reason we chose to add "House" to our name is because the foods we make are usually eaten at home. Simple preparations and fresh local ingredients drive our core menu. We aim to educate and entice the world through some of our favorite recipes from the vibrant kitchens and markets of Sicily."

A brand new episode of the Love Lebo Learning Series is now live! In this week’s video, Joe Reale from Arancini House teaches you how to make risotto!

Make sure to give Arancini House a follow on Facebook & visit their website for more information about the restaurant: www.arancinihouse.com

Plus, stop by during their new hours: Monday-Saturday, 11 am-7 pm.

✨ Leave a photo of your homemade risotto in the comments on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership FaceBook page for a chance to receive a $25 gift certificate for Arancini House. Mt. Lebanon Partnership will notify gift certificate winners via DM one week after the conclusion of our Love Lebo Learning Series (4/11/21).
